Russ is the Chair of the United Kingdom Rocketry Association (UKRA) and has made numerous high-powered rocket launches since first getting involved with a rocketry society whilst at university. Notable launches include a 12 foot long, 1 foot wide rocket built from scratch in 7 days and breaking the sound barrier. In this lecture Russ shares the ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ of his rocketry experiences, including launch footage and excerpts from his appearances as ‘Russ the Rocket Man’ on CBeebies’ ‘Nina and the Neurons’ and on James May’s Toy Stories during December 2014.
