The story of the Agusta Westland Project Zero demonstrator is a fascinating topic. Their team won the prestigious (and rarely awarded) RAeS Team Gold Award last year, for their incredible achievement in designing, building and flying the world’s first full-scale all-electric technology demonstrator in just 6 months. It is also the first rotorcraft in the world to demonstrate Individual Blade Control technology in flight. We will hear about the exciting, behind the scene story of how a Skunkwork-like team was created that designed the innovative Project Zero aircraft. Agusta Westland also have a number of other Tiltrotor programmes underway and James will summarise some of those projects too.
Visitors should use the Frenchay Campus North Entrance. This is not the same as the main campus entrance. Parking will be available on site – please follow the directions below.
