We are pleased to invite you to our first lecture of 2017!

Group Captain ‘Mitch’ Mitchell is the Type Airworthiness Authority and Project Engineer for the Unmanned Air Systems Team at MOD Abbey Wood. The team provides the UAS for all three Services of the UK military as well as supporting a number of technology demonstrators.

This lecture will describe the exciting developments within the Zephyr project as we look to demonstrate the viability of a High Altitude Pseudo Satellite platform. Alongside this project, Group Captain Mitchell will also describe some of the other new projects within the team and how UAS technology, and its military exploitation, have been accelerating in recent years.
