Join us for the unveiling of an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Historic Aerospace Sites plaque followed by a talk by Sir Iain Gray about the history of the Filton site.
The AIAA Historic Aerospace Sites programme recognises geographical locations, with or without buildings or facilities, associated with significant aerospace achievements, programs or individuals. The programme aims to inform AIAA members and the public of a site’s significance through a plaque. The Filton Site and Airfield has been recognised for its role in aircraft design and manufacture since 1910, and this event marks the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate this achievement.
This event will take place on Thursday 22nd October 2026 at Aerospace Bristol (Hayes Way, Patchway, Bristol BS34 5BZ – https://what3words.com/: loose.format.poppy).
